Summary
Join Twilio as our next Crisis and Continuity Advisor! This role supports the development, implementation, and management of the crisis management function. Reporting to the Director, Operational Resilience, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure operational response and recovery from disruptive events. The team interacts with every employee to protect Twilio's people, places, and things. This is a strategic role requiring a passion for operational resilience and the ability to lead change. The position is remote and located in British Columbia, Alberta, or Ontario, with occasional travel.
Requirements
- 5+ years in the private sector, or 3+ years in the public sector with 2+ years in the private sector, proven experience in crisis management and business continuity
- Strong knowledge of operational risk frameworks, regulatory requirements, and industry standards
- Demonstrated experience in leading in a crisis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and develop effective solutions
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of a crisis management framework to support operational resilience framework to identify, assess, and manage risks that could potentially disrupt business operations
- Collaborate with business units to assess their operational resilience requirements and define strategies to enhance resilience
- Lead the design and support the implementation of business continuity plans, disaster recovery procedures, and crisis management protocols
- Establish metrics to measure and monitor the effectiveness of operational resilience initiatives
- Develop and deliver crisis management tabletops, notification testing, simulations, and drills to evaluate the effectiveness of operational crisis management plans and procedures
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a coordinated and effective response to disruptive events
- Prepare and present reports on operational crisis management initiatives, progress, and share results with stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, risk management, or a related field
- Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP)
- Proficiency with Fusion Risk Management
