Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of managerial experience in underwriting cyber and technology E&O
- Proven track record in leading high-performance underwriting teams
- Experience handling a high volume of business
- Self-motivated; entrepreneurial spirit
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, virtual environment
- Strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal & written)
- Ability to learn and teach technical concepts/terms
- Proficiency in the local language and English is required
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of underwriters, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting professional growth
- Oversee the analytical research of policyholders and risks conducted by the team
- Manage and cultivate relationships with insurance brokers, negotiating pricing, coverages, and other terms to grow our book profitably
- Attend in-person meetings with Business Development staff and brokers as necessary to facilitate team support
- Develop, implement, and streamline processes for renewal business to achieve our customer service standards
- Strategically contribute to policymaking on emerging threats, loss trends, marketplace changes, and other trends in cyber and technology risks
- Maintain an active understanding of cyber and technology marketplaces and industry trends, imparting knowledge to the team
- Identify and leverage areas where our unique capabilities provide a competitive advantage and support these through the development of processes
- Collaborate with Security Engineers and guide the team in reviewing cyber and tech E&O accounts for risk assessment
- Serve as a subject matter expert and managerial point of contact for coverage matters and endorsement drafting
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing relationships with potential broker partners
- Management Professional Liability experience
- Technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS is a plus
