Summary

Join Coalition, the world's first Active Insurance provider, as a Cyber Insurance Underwriter in our expanding French team. This remote position offers the chance to contribute to our growth in the European market. You will analyze policyholders and risks, manage broker relationships, and develop processes for renewal business. The role requires collaboration with the Business Development and Security Engineering teams. You will become a subject matter expert on coverage and endorsement drafting, contributing to our approach to emerging cyber threats. Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of previous experience underwriting cyber and technology E&O insurance products
  • Experience in non-insurance related cybersecurity or IT services will not compensate for lack or absence of experience in insurance underwriting
  • Strong language capabilities (Fluency in both French and English is required)
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Experience handling a high volume of business
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic and international environment
  • Self-motivated; entrepreneurial spirit
  • Aptitude to learn technical concepts/terms

Responsibilities

  • Analytically research policyholders and risks as needed
  • Manage relationships with insurance brokers to negotiate pricing, coverages and other terms to grow our book profitably (in collaboration with our Business Development team)
  • Attend in-person meetings with Business Development staff and insurance brokers as needed
  • Create new and maintain current processes for renewal business to meet our customer service standards
  • Actively participate in determining our approach to emerging threats, loss trends, marketplace changes and other trends in cyber and technology risks
  • Keep an avid pulse on cyber and technology marketplaces and wider trends in the industry
  • Easily identify areas where our unique capabilities provide us with a competitive advantage and build out processes that support these
  • Collaborate with Security Engineers to review cyber and tech E&O accounts for risk
  • Grow into becoming a subject matter expert for the team on coverage matters and endorsement drafting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Other Financial Lines insurance product experience
  • Existing relationships with potential broker partners
  • MPL experience
  • Technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS is a plus
