Cyber Security Analyst

Summary

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of cyber security experience, focusing on vulnerability management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders
• Knowledge of cloud security and how it relates to vulnerability management
• Strong understanding of application security and security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and compliance regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)
• Proficiency with vulnerability assessment tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys, Rapid7)

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and scans on Feeld systems, and applications to identify security weaknesses
• Analyse and prioritise vulnerabilities based on risk assessments, potential impact, and exploitability
• Collaborate with IT and Engineering teams to remediate vulnerabilities and ensure timely security patches and updates are implemented
• Monitor and evaluate emerging security threats and vulnerabilities, providing actionable insights to strengthen our security posture
• Maintain and update documentation related to vulnerability management processes, findings, and remediation efforts
• Develop and maintain vulnerability management metrics and reporting mechanisms to track progress and effectiveness
• Generate and present reports on vulnerability status, trends, and remediation efforts to management and stakeholders
• Assist in the development of security policies, guidelines, and best practices to mitigate vulnerabilities
• Participate in incident response activities and provide analysis in case of security breaches or incidents
