Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
  • Proven ability to analyze large datasets, synthesize insights, and create actionable reports
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or SAS; advanced knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI); strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with Defense Department Data Sources; experience in healthcare analytics
  • Proven ability to synthesize disparate data from multiple sources into accurate and useful analytic products
  • Demonstrated ability to provide timely analytical products with substantiated options or courses of action
  • Must possess or be eligible for a SECRET clearance

Responsibilities

  • Support the Military Health System (MHS) by analyzing complex datasets, developing reports, and enabling data-driven decision-making to improve healthcare quality, readiness, and operational efficiency
  • Analyze healthcare and business data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or SAS
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements and ensure data quality
  • Perform ad hoc data queries and generate reports to support leadership decisions
  • Link program data with other health and personnel datasets to support longitudinal analysis
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data import, analysis, and display errors
