Summary
Join Match Group's Latin American branch as a Data Analyst on the Product Analytics Team, using data to understand user needs and behavior to improve retention and matchmaking. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide strategic insights, support business forecasting, and model the financial impact of new product ideas. You will also present technical content to stakeholders, serve as a product owner for revenue and retention strategies, and act as a subject matter expert on statistical methodologies. The role involves researching customer behavior, analyzing metrics and trends, and supporting enterprise-level initiatives for products like Chispa, BLK, Upward, and Yuzu. This position requires strong SQL and Excel skills, experience with applied statistics, and excellent problem-solving abilities. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field is required.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands on SQL (or structured data) experience along with advanced Excel Skills
- Exposure to applied statistics (descriptive statistics, statistical testing, design of experiments, linear modeling, time series analysis etc); Python/SPSS/SAS/R experience a plus
- Self-starter with good communications skills
- You have experience going beyond number-crunching, reports, and dashboard creation -- you are able to understand the business impact of the data and make recommendations based on your findings
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Bachelorโs or Masterโs degree in Statistics,Economics, Computer Science, Engineering related field, Marketing, or MBA with quantitative focus
- Fluent in English
Responsibilities
- Use data to understand our users -- what they need, what they do, how to retain them, and ultimately how to help them find the best dates
- Partner with cross-functional teams to provide long-term strategic insights for our products
- Support business trends/forecasting and model the financial impact of new product ideas
- A strong knowledge querying massive and complex datasets,analyzing, and driving key and actionable insights
- Working with other cross-functional teams like Finance, CRM, Engineering and Business Intelligence; proactively engage other teams to identify and drive better user experience
- Providing internal consulting to product management, marketing, finance, and CRM teams on A/B tests as they move initiatives from concept to market
- Presenting technical content across business stakeholders
- Working as the product owner of revenue and retention strategies for the product
- Serving as the subject matter expert on applying various statistical methodologies towards distilling actionable insights
- Researching issues about customer behavior/changes by analyzing relevant metrics, trends and supporting enterprise level initiatives
- Supporting these products: Chispa, BLK, Upward, Yuzu
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in product analytics supporting digital applications including mobile apps & consumer internet is preferred
