Summary
Join JumpCloud's Enterprise Data and Analytics team as a Data Analyst and play a critical role in driving core reporting, dashboards, and analytics. You will collaborate with stakeholders across various business units and technical teams to create impactful insights. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, experience with SQL and business intelligence tools, and a passion for data storytelling. Success in this position involves owning project outcomes, gathering requirements, providing actionable recommendations, and mentoring other analysts. The position is remote and based in Mexico. JumpCloud is a fast-moving, lean company committed to remote work.
Requirements
- Possess intermediate knowledge and experience in SQL and relational databases
- Be proficient in one or more business Intelligence / data visualization tools
- Have intermediate quantitative experience
- Possess intermediate analytical skills and a passion for data storytelling and quantitative analysis
- Have mentoring skills
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a desire to learn
- Possess effective stakeholder management skills and communication skills
- Have experience with Data Governance best practices
- Hold a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or another quantitative field
Responsibilities
- Collaborate and drive large, impactful projects involving data visualization, data analysis, and data curation with involvement across various stakeholders, business units, and technical partners
- Own the outcomes of the analytics initiatives youβre leading
- Gather requirements and provide actionable recommendations to business stakeholders that are seen routinely at an executive level, driving adoption and execution of recommendations
- Mentor and grow the other analysts in the group
- Support team's project management, strategic decision-making, and long-term planning
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analytics and data governance and apply them to support our business needs
Preferred Qualifications
- Have Snowflake experience
- Have Tableau experience
- Have SaaS industry experience
- Have competency with scripting languages such as Python (Jupyter, Pandas, Numpy) and/or R (tidyverse, dplyr, ggplot2)
- Have effective project management and organizational skills; Agile experience
- Have experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, unstructured, dynamic environment; Start-up experience
