Summary
Join finmid as a Data Analyst based in Berlin or remotely, where you'll leverage your analytical skills to translate raw data into actionable insights. You will partner with business stakeholders, develop dashboards and reports, conduct exploratory data analysis, and work with the engineering team to ensure data integrity. This role requires strong communication and SQL skills, along with experience in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a passion for uncovering insights and driving business impact. finmid offers a flexible work environment, including a home office stipend and 30 days of vacation, along with meaningful equity and a transparent culture.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Data Analyst or similar role, ideally in a fast-paced fintech environment
- Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Strong business acumen with a focus on strategic problem-solving and decision-making
- Excellent communication skills —you can break down complex data insights into clear, actionable takeaways for non-technical stakeholders
- Excellent SQL skills and familiarity with data visualization tools such as Metabase, Tableau, Looker or Power BI
- Experience working cross-functionally, particularly with Product, Engineering, and Business teams
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and take ownership of data projects from start to finish
- A self-starter mindset with a passion for uncovering insights and driving business impact
Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities where data insights can drive better decision-making
- Develop dashboards, reports, and data models that provide visibility into key performance metrics and business health
- Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities in our business and product offerings
- Work closely with Engineering team to ensure data pipelines are structured effectively and that data integrity is maintained
- Support business strategy by providing data-driven insights that guide revenue, marketing, and operational initiatives
- Drive A/B testing and experiment analysis, ensuring our decisions are backed by strong statistical evidence
- Translate complex data into clear narratives that stakeholders across teams can understand and act upon
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis
