Data Analyst

Summary

Join Spendesk as a Data Analyst to provide analytics to product teams and enhance their decision-making. You will interpret, challenge, and address business requests from Product Managers, leveraging your strong SQL background. This role demands independent data analysis using BI tools to generate insights and support Product Managers through training and hands-on assistance. Key responsibilities include supporting stakeholders in data analysis and KPI tracking, creating and maintaining dashboards, delivering regular trainings, and fostering a data-driven culture. The ideal candidate possesses advanced SQL skills, basic Python knowledge for data analysis, and experience with cloud data warehousing.

Requirements

• Advanced SQL skills and ability to write queries independently
• Basic skills in Python for data analysis
• Understanding of product analytics and metrics
• Ability to self-serve and utilize BI tools (Looker, Amplitude or equivalent) for data analysis
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication: ability to explain data concepts clearly
• Experience working with one of the cloud data warehousing environment (Snowflake or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Support product stakeholders in data analysis and KPI tracking to deliver actionable insights
• Create, maintain and improve product dashboards in our BI tools
• Create and deliver regular trainings for stakeholders
• Hold office hours to help teams become more data-driven
• Contribute to developing a strong data culture by creating documentation and guidelines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Looker
• Experience with Amplitude
• Experience with dbt (data build tool)
