Data Engineer

Summary

The job is for a Fintech Data Engineer at FREE NOW, a mobility super app company. The role involves data engineering and stakeholder management in the realms of Risk, Fraud, and Payment. The position offers a platform for creativity and innovation, providing opportunities to collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Analysts, and fellow Data Engineers.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields with a strong focus on data management and engineering
• Advanced knowledge in SQL and database management systems, and a strong data modelling experience
• Proven Experience with Data Orchestration tools such as ApacheAirflow and ETL tools such as Gusty or dbt
• Fluent in business English, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, supporting cross-functional collaboration

Responsibilities

• Data Engineering: Understand and transform raw data into actionable data products that Analytics and Data Science can use across Fintech and other data domains. Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines, ensuring data quality, consistency, and availability. Perform data ingestion from various data sources in both real-time and batch manner
• Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, with a strong focus on data analysts, data scientists, and software engineers. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure alignment on data engineering projects and objectives, facilitating a data-driven culture within the organization

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with Data Streaming tools such as Kafka and Debezium, along with Modern API development via FastAPI and SQLModel is very much appreciated
