Summary

The job is for a Data Engineer position in Nisum's banking sector. The candidate will design, build, and maintain data infrastructure to support decision-making across the organization. This role requires at least 2 years of experience as a Data Engineer, solid knowledge in SQL and NoSQL databases, advanced programming skills in Python, and familiarity with data integration and transformation tools.

Requirements

• Reside in LATAM
• At least 2 years of experience as a Data Engineer
• Solid knowledge in SQL and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.)
• Advanced programming skills in Python

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines to support business analytics needs
• Integrate and process large volumes of data from various internal and external sources
• Implement and manage relational and non-relational databases, ensuring performance and availability
• Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and other IT teams to understand data requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions
• Develop and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure data quality and consistency
• Ensure data security and regulatory compliance in data handling and storage
• Collaborate in the implementation of data models and architectures that support efficient analysis and report creation
• Monitor and solve data infrastructure-related issues to minimize downtime

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in designing and developing data pipelines using tools like Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, Hype, LI-Remote, etc
• Advanced programming skills in Java or Scala
• Experience in using Google Cloud services and data orchestration tools
