Summary
Join Pepperstone's technology team, a global fintech company, as a Data Governance Analyst. You will play a key role in shaping and implementing data governance practices, ensuring compliance, and fostering data-driven decision-making. This role requires 6+ years of experience in data management, strong SQL proficiency, and hands-on experience in data governance areas. You will collaborate with various teams, manage data governance tools, and conduct data analysis to improve data quality. Requirements
- 6+ years in Data Management roles (preferably Financial Services or FinTech)
- Strong SQL proficiency (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks)
- Hands-on experience in at least two Data Governance areas, such as: Data Classification, Data Retention, Data Quality
- Hands-on experience in at least two Data Governance areas, such as: Business Glossary, Metadata Management, Data Architecture
- Hands-on experience in at least two Data Governance areas, such as: Data Security, Compliance, Risk, and Legal
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks (DAMA DMBOK, DCAM)
- Familiarity with GDPR and other data regulations for Cyprus
- Experience with Enterprise Business Glossary and Data Catalog tools
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, working cross-functionally
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain data governance frameworks, policies, and standards across jurisdictions
- Ensure compliance with data obligations, assisting in internal and external audits
- Foster collaboration with Data Stewards, Business, BI, and Engineering teams to integrate governance best practices
- Manage and enhance Data Governance tools (Data Catalog, Enterprise Business Glossary)
- Conduct data analysis and profiling to improve data quality, consistency, and optimization
- Develop and maintain data models, data flows, and metadata documentation to align with business needs
- Drive automation and improvements in data classification, retention, and risk management
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of cloud data technologies (AWS preferred)
