Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in data governance, data quality, or data management; financial services experience is a strong plus
  • Strong understanding of data ownership, stewardship, and data quality management principles
  • Experience with data lifecycle management, including governance over data acquisition, retention, archival, and secure deletion
  • Basic knowledge of data analytics tools and techniques, with an ability to contribute to building analytics capabilities
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across business and technical teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in information management, Data Science, Business Administration, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing data governance frameworks, including policies, standards, and processes, with a focus on data ownership and stewardship responsibilities
  • Support end-to-end data lifecycle management, including data classification, acquisition, storage, transformation, usage, retention, and secure disposal
  • Establish and maintain data quality standards, ensuring accurate, consistent, and reliable data as a foundation for future data analytics
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify requirements for data analytics capabilities and contribute to building a data-driven culture
  • Monitor and report on data governance metrics, including data quality scores, compliance rates, and data usage trends
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to data governance, ensuring compliance with financial services regulations and industry standards
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and evolving regulations, ensuring data governance initiatives remain relevant and effective
