Requirements

  • Health insurance actuary risk adjustment expertise with an understanding of risk scoring and how it works
  • Background in analyzing large data sets, either from a data role at a technology or healthcare company, or consulting company working in these industries
  • Ability to work with complex data sets and experience working with data platforms, such as Looker or Tableau
  • Strong critical thinking skills to understand client needs and translate them into actionable insights
  • Startup experience, comfortable with ambiguity and adaptable to changing needs
  • Growth-oriented mindset, eager to learn and develop within the team
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver timely and business-critical data insights for internal stakeholders and customers, through the creation of dashboards for Customer Success, Operations, Product, and Finance
  • Identify and implement data platform (Looker, Tableau, etc.) based on long-term business needs
  • Continuously assess and evolve tools and processes to elevate operational impact and efficiency
  • Serve as a generalist, able to assist in multiple areas across teams
  • Provide support primarily to Customer Success/Operations (65% of the role), with secondary support to other teams, including the product team and the finance teams, to drive operational excellence
  • Collaborate with the finance team on ad hoc projects related to financial planning and analysis (FP&A)
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to understand available data within the system

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with value-based care, managed care, or risk-bearing providers
  • A basic understanding of financial statements and FP&A metrics
  • Experience with NetSuite and other accounting systems
