Summary

Join Trellis, a Series A startup, as a Data Science Product Manager to lead the development and improvement of predictive models crucial to the user experience. You will collaborate with engineering and business stakeholders, transforming data into actionable insights. This fully remote position, based in the US or Canada, requires managing the model lifecycle from ideation to monitoring. You'll need to balance technical expertise with business acumen in a fast-paced environment. The role involves improving data science processes and ensuring model outputs align with KPIs. Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of experience in Data Science roles implementing predictive models
  • Strong understanding of recommendation algorithms and modeling techniques
  • Proven track record of owning production data science models end to end, from discovering opportunities to implementing models to productionalization and monitoring
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

  • Own our portfolio of predictive models from end to end: ideation, implementation, productionization, monitoring, and iteration
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the accuracy and business impact of existing models
  • Identify and develop new models that drive better user outcomes and business results
  • Partner with engineering and product teams to embed models into our systems and decision-making flows
  • Design and implement improvements to our data science processes and infrastructure
  • Help ensure model output is interpretable, actionable, and aligned with our KPIs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Looker/LookML or other data visualization tools is a plus
  • Background in Fintech, Insurtech, or insurance is a plus
