Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (Master’s or Ph.D. preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered)
- 8+ years of experience in healthcare data analytics, with a strong background in working with large healthcare datasets (e.g., medical and pharmacy claims)
- 2+ years of experience in roles involving medical or pharmacy data in a health plan or pharmacy benefit management (PBM) setting
- Demonstrated expertise in Python, R, SQL, and advanced statistical methods, with proficiency in cloud-based data analysis platforms
- Proven track record in developing predictive models and data-driven tools that support strategic decision-making
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation in healthcare analytics
Responsibilities
- Assist DVS leadership in defining and executing analytics strategies that align with business objectives
- Collaborate with clinical, IT, and operations teams to ensure analytical solutions meet client needs
- Act as a subject matter expert by contributing technical insights and best practices to team projects
- Design, develop, and implement advanced predictive models using large, complex datasets from sources such as medical and pharmacy claims and EMR systems
- Utilize programming languages (Python, R, SQL) and cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake) to extract insights and drive decision-making
- Evaluate model performance and continuously refine methodologies to improve forecast accuracy and operational efficiency
- Develop innovative analytical tools and advanced custom reports that support healthplan clients in areas such as specialty pharmacy spend, cost-saving initiatives, and drug forecasting
- Create dynamic visualizations (using tools like Tableau or PowerBI or any others) to communicate complex data insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Support the development and management of new programs, including metric tracking, ROI analysis, and process improvements
- Contribute to multiple advanced analytics projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic objectives
- Assist in the generation of client-facing tools that enhance feasibility analysis, contextual understanding, and budget forecasting
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, integrating innovative approaches into project work
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s or Ph.D. preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered
