Summary
Join Sword Health, a Forbes Best Startup Employer, as a Data Scientist to contribute to our mission of freeing two billion people from pain. You will lead data science projects, design and test clinical and digital models, and leverage advanced programming skills to analyze large datasets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve real-world problems and deploy ML models. This role requires 2+ years of data science experience, proficiency in statistics and machine learning, and excellent communication skills. Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in Data Science roles
- Previous Experience using descriptive and inferential statistics in the context of a product
- Previous Experience using machine learning to derive insights and find patterns in the data
- Working knowledge of SQL as well as statistical packages (such as those in Python or R)
- Excellent communication skills and able to communicate their findings with different stakeholders, including those who are non-technical from other teams
- Experience in solving complex business problems with data, being able to use complex tools and techniques
- Previous experience in working independently and taking ownership of projects
Responsibilities
- Lead data science projects from design, exploration, prototype and production implementation
- Test novel clinical and digital interventions to understand our patient health needs, their behavioral tendencies and how to improve patient recovery
- Leverage advanced programming and processing of large datasets
- Work alongside with data scientists, data engineers and data analysts in complex analysis and in deploying designed and well-tested ML models into practice, helping to build appropriate frameworks to test and monitor ongoing model performance
- Provide methodological, statistical, design and analytical feedback for new and ongoing operations / applied research projects
- Work and collaborate with internal stakeholders (Finance, Marketing, Product, Clinical operations) to develop strategies and data science products to solve real world problems

- Experience with irregular time-series/event data
- Experience in working with cloud platforms
- Genuine curiosity that drives you to experiment and try new things
