Requirements

• Obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent discipline
• Have 8+ years of experience
• Demonstrate proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL for data analysis and modeling
• Show experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
• Possess a strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical methods, and predictive modeling techniques
• Show familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and big data technologies
• Exhibit the ability to communicate complex data insights effectively to technical and non-technical audiences
• Possess strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on practical and actionable results
• Demonstrate knowledge of data privacy and security regulations and best practices
• Possess effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams and departments

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and preprocess large datasets from various sources to ensure data quality and consistency
• Apply statistical analysis, machine learning models, and predictive analytics to solve complex problems and uncover trends and patterns
• Build, test, and deploy scalable data models, algorithms, and workflows to support organizational objectives
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to communicate insights to stakeholders effectively
• Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and technical teams to understand business goals and deliver data-driven solutions
• Conduct hypothesis testing and design experiments to optimize processes and outcomes
• Utilize tools and techniques for data mining, natural language processing (NLP), and predictive analytics
• Document data processes, models, and workflows to ensure reproducibility and knowledge sharing
• Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure the success of the project

Preferred Qualifications

• Have experience working with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or other federal agencies
• Obtain the following certifications: MongoDB certification, AWS certification, Azure certification, etc
• Have experience in SAFe/Agile Software Development and the ability to work effectively in a multi-stakeholder and DevSecOps environment
• Be able to obtain a government clearance
