Data Scientist Intern in China

Summary

The employee is responsible for contributing to continuous improvements in data analysis and modeling at Disney+ Hotstar, implementing systems that combine data science and product design, developing prototypes and proof of concepts, and implementing solutions to data science problems.

Requirements

• Experience: 1+ year intern experience of practical algorithm design and implementation in data science or machine learning related fields is a plus
• Solid mathematics, computer science, data analysis and machine learning background
• Basic knowledge and hands-on experiences in big data processing and parallel computing frameworks such as Hadoop and Spark is a plus
• Logical thinker with good problem solving and analytical ability to apply your mathematical, algorithmic and other expertise to solve real problems
• Strong ability to master new technology in short time
• Passion for applied research and new technology, open to interdisciplinary work
• Participated at least 1 team projects, and easy to collaborate with others
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written

Responsibilities

• Contribute to continuous improvements in the quality of data analysis and modeling in Disney+ Hotstar
• Implement systems that combine data science and product design to continuously improve over time
• Develop prototype, proof of concept, and demo systems to improve performance for current algorithms and architectures
• Implement the solutions involved in data science problems
