Summary

Life360 is a remote-first company seeking a Senior Data Scientist to help grow the business by analyzing data, developing algorithms, improving products, and providing insights. The salary range is $140,000 to $180,000, with benefits including medical insurance, 401(k), mental wellness program, flexible PTO, and learning & development programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in data science, computer science, statistics, or related field
• Proven experience (5+ years) as a Data Scientist, working on complex projects and large datasets
• Experience with geospatial data and mobile location-based services is highly desirable
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to tackle open-ended, challenging, data-related problems
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
• Proven track record of successfully delivering data-driven insights and solutions that have a significant impact on product and business decisions
• Python, including Pandas and Scikit-learn
• SQL and Spark
• Amazon Web Services (S3, Athena, Glue, Lambda, SageMaker, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise and thought leadership
• Identify and understand opportunities (both internal and external)
• Develop new insights, product features, and scalable services using data from mobile, cloud, and third-party platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data-driven solutions into products
• Present complex analyses and insights in a clear and compelling manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency by identifying potential issues and working closely with data engineering teams
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science and machine learning
