Summary
Join Haus, a marketing science platform, as their first data scientist on the product team. You will be a thought partner to the product team, using data to shape decisions and drive the product roadmap. This role involves more than just SQL queries and dashboards; it requires overseeing UI/UX, predicting customer churn, analyzing advertising budget allocation, extracting cross-customer insights, identifying user friction points, and building a foundational data stack. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field
- Expertise in SQL and proficiency in at least one object-oriented language (Python, Java, etc.)
- You dream in SQL
- You’re relentlessly curious and skeptical of data—always questioning assumptions and digging deep
- You take initiative, spotting opportunities and running with them
- You tell compelling stories with data (and you have strong opinions about bad visualizations)
- You prioritize impact, always focusing on what moves the business forward
Responsibilities
- Oversee the overarching UI/UX of the product, while going deep on certain projects
- What early signals predict customer churn, and how can we prevent it?
- How do customers use our platform to allocate their advertising budgets?
- Can we extract cross-customer insights from the experiments they run?
- Where do users encounter friction, and how can we eliminate it?
- How do we build a foundational data stack that accelerates future analyses?
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with dbt
- Experience with CDPs (e.g. Rudderstack)
