Summary

Join GoFasti, a Talent-as-a-Service company, as a Data Strategy & Governance Lead, working remotely from Latin America. You will be responsible for managing data initiatives, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with stakeholders. This role requires strong data governance, data management, and communication skills, along with experience with data governance tools and SQL. The position offers a competitive salary range of $2,500 - $4,800 per month, depending on experience and skillset, and is for an independent contractor through a payroll platform.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of demonstrated experience with data governance, data management, business glossary, data lineage, metadata, and/or data quality
  • Strong data quality experience
  • Experience with data governance tools such as Collibra, Informatica Axon, or similar platforms
  • Skilled in SQL
  • Demonstrated analytical, project management and tactical planning skills
  • Ability to interact with senior level management; experience interfacing with multiple levels of the organizational structure
  • Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity, poise, maturity and precision both written and verbal
  • Ability to exercise stakeholder confidentiality and discretionary judgment
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Results oriented; ability to work efficiently and meet strict reporting deadlines
  • Self-directed, self-motivated, and demonstrated experience providing ideas and solutions to further business understanding
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

Responsibilities

  • Manages the execution of new data initiatives by defining data management requirements, tracking and reporting on projects progress, escalating risks and issues in plan execution and follows defined change management governance processes
  • Creation of data management deliverables for prioritized initiatives such as data dictionaries, data lineage, data quality business rules and, identifies need for changes in metadata within domain
  • Responsible to ensure that control models to monitor and report data quality issues are in place and adhere to data policies and standards for the data domains under their area of leadership
  • Identifies, tracks, and works with Remediation team on the resolution of priority data issues root causes to improve data quality levels
  • Conducts an annual review of existing key data elements, data quality rules and associated metadata artifacts to ensure they are still fit for purpose and were consistently implemented across the organization
  • Participate project status and data quality results in first line of defense governance forums including leading monthly meetings with Data Owners and domain SMEs
