Data Visualization Specialist

Summary

Join European Dynamics as a Data Visualization Specialist and work remotely within the EU. You will collaborate with a major client's IT team, assessing customer needs, designing technical specifications, and creating visual content. Responsibilities include building interactive data visualizations, developing complex reports and data models, and ensuring thorough testing. You will also contribute to design and development standards and provide documentation. This role requires a university degree in IT or a related field, along with at least 5 years of relevant experience in data modeling, visualization, and BI report development. Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, SQL, and various visualization techniques is essential.

Requirements

• University degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with a minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in IT
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data modeling, data visualization and BI report development
• Minimum 3 years of experience with Microsoft Power BI
• Extensive experience with SQL
• Extensive experience in visualization, including demonstrable design knowledge, such as layout, typography, color, interaction design and fluency with BI tools
• Extensive experience in data preparation, data analysis, data visualization, programming, database administration, and reporting
• Experience with the complete systems development lifecycle process
• Experience with Jira and Azure DevOps
• Experience with Agile (Scrum)
• Excellent command of the English language

Responsibilities

• Assessing customer requirements, determining technical feasibility and documenting results
• Drafting technical specifications based on functional requirements
• Creating and editing visual content including maps, charts, and graphs
• Building interactive and complex data visualizations and analysis tools (e.g., dashboards)
• Developing highly complicated reports (e.g., drill through, drill down, dynamic parameters, sub-reports) and data models (e.g., cubes/tabular models)
• Ensuring in-depth unit, application and integration testing
• Assisting in the creation and enhancement of design and development standards
• Providing user and technical application documentation
