Summary
Join Airspace as a Dedicated Driver Talent Acquisition Specialist and partner with Sales, Account Management, and Driver Ops teams to build and execute a comprehensive driver recruitment strategy. You will design and implement recruiting plans, source candidates, manage the prescreening and interview processes, negotiate offers, and proactively manage the driver pipeline. This role requires 3+ years of recruiting experience in operational roles, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and knowledge of labor laws. Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in recruiting operational roles or employees deployed “in the field” (commercial driver recruiting preferred)
- Ability to create and adhere to processes to assess and evaluate candidate qualifications
- Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Skilled candidate evaluation methods and intuition to ensure top-quality placements
- Time-management skills and multitasking ability
- Knowledge of labor laws, employment regulations, and industry trends
Responsibilities
- Partner with cross-functional teams to understand hiring timelines and requirements (Perform job and task analysis to document job requirements)
- Design and implement overall recruiting strategy, including preparation of recruitment materials
- Develop and maintain accurate and detailed job descriptions / specifications
- Source drivers through a variety of channels
- Manage prescreening process, documentation, and execution to deliver a high success rate of drivers hired:successfully onboarded
- Conduct interviews using scoring/selection tools
- Assess applicant’s relevant knowledge, skills, and experience
- Negotiate job offers and compensation packages
- Proactively manage driver pipeline for future known markets
- Develop strategic recruiting plan for all market types
- Conduct regular touchpoints with Driver Ops Service Coordinator (trainer) to ensure that the program leads to successful onboarding
- Partner with Revenue teams to maintain and adjust driver quality requirements as changes occur
- Closely monitor recruiting trends to inform resourcing decisions to support volume increase
