Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree (minimum GPA of 3.0)
- At least 15 years of relevant experience
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage an active portfolio of projects
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate/communicate effectively with internal/external stakeholders
- Excellent verbal/written communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills
- Experience with the successful growth of a design team
- Experience with design-bid-build types of construction projects
- Experience with vertical new construction, building renovation, and civil/site infrastructure construction projects
- Experience with construction building codes and permitting processes
Responsibilities
- Overseeing engineering design teams executing facility construction and renovation projects
- Prepare technical memoranda/reports to document compliance with the design scope
- Ensure designs conform with applicable regulations, codes, and standards
- Ensure deliverables (e.g., project submittals) are reviewed internally in accordance with quality control requirements
- Ensure customer expectations for quality, schedule, and cost are met
- Oversee subcontracted design services
- Oversee post-construction award services when required
- Supporting team growth and development through recruiting, onboarding, training, and mentoring
Preferred Qualifications
- DoD-specific codes and requirements is preferred
- Expertise with at least one of the following, but preferably all: HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, structural
- Applicable professional certification or license (e.g., Professional Engineer or Registered Architect) is preferred but not required
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret level security clearance
