Summary
Join Eurofins Scientific, a global life sciences company, as an IT Support Technician. You will be responsible for installing and configuring workstations, maintaining networks, supporting Microsoft platforms, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing user support. Requirements
- Previous technical experience in a similar role
- Proven experience of working with clients
- Good interpersonal skills are required, as is the ability to communicate well, both verbally and written
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Must be able to efficiently work and communicate in English verbally and in writing
- Team player
- Able to operate in a dynamic environment with defined deadlines
- Self-motivated and results oriented
Responsibilities
- Installing and configuring workstations
- Maintaining Internet connections
- Maintaining networks
- Supporting Microsoft Client & Server platforms, Active Directory, Group Policy, NTFS permissions, Office365 and remote access
- Networking: VLANs, Switching, WIFI, routing, LAN, WAN
- Patching cables
- Installing printers / peripherals
- Onsite trouble shooting, for all of the above across multiple sites
- Troubleshooting protocols like HTTP, SMTP, FTP, SMB, DNS and DHCP
- Document technical specifications and reports
- Manage site schedules and timetables
- Provide telephone and remote support for users
- Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT helpdesk
- Monitor Service Desk for tickets assigned to the queue and process first-in first-out based on priority
- Support VOIP phone system
- Troubleshooting and support applications
