Developer Experience Engineer

Summary

Join Stripe's Privy team as their first Developer Experience Engineer. You will improve developer experience, reduce support needs through proactive education, and build developer advocacy initiatives to increase product adoption and engagement. This role requires close collaboration with engineers, product, and business teams to ensure customer needs are met. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining code samples, starter repos, and recipes; establishing a regular cadence of developer-focused content; collaborating on documentation improvements; and engaging with the developer community. Minimum requirements include 3+ years of experience in a related role, adept programming skills, excellent communication skills, a passion for developer communities, strong problem-solving skills, and teamwork abilities. Preferred qualifications include experience in API-based businesses, payments, fintech, or crypto.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a developer advocacy, technical evangelism, technical writing or similar role
• Adept programming skills and a deep understanding of the technologies the company uses
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner
• Passion for building and engaging with developer communities
• Strong problem solving skills, identify and solve technical challenges
• Ability to build relationships, collaborate with others, and work effectively in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain code samples, starter repos, and recipes that help developers integrate our product effectively
• Establish and create a regular cadence of developer-focused content (blog posts, video tutorials, code samples)
• Collaborate with internal teams to organize our documentation, prioritize content gaps and improvements, and gather developer feedback on all content effectiveness
• Engage with the developer community through industry events, hackathons, and other channels
