Development Coordinator

Summary

Lincoln Avenue Communities (LAC) is hiring a Development Coordinator to support the execution of regional project partners' development plans and provide additional capacity to the company's development and transactions team. The Development Coordinator will coordinate financing applications, maintain development schedules, ensure assumptions and precise documentation, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Proficient in Excel
• Detail and process-oriented with a drive to keep the development approvals on time
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently while also comfortable interacting with and collaborating with internal and external partners
• Aptitude for creating strong internal relationships within LAC. Must be a strong collaborator among peer groups within the company
• Passionate and aligned with the company's double-bottom-line mission: generating appropriate returns for investors and managing great, stable communities for our residents
• Demonstrated experience or knowledge of managing real estate closing and/or coordinating legal documents
• Associate degree from a Legal Studies/Paralegal program, or related field with demonstrated performance and leadership in school and/or professionally (ie lender, investor, developer closing coordinator role)
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in housing development, investment, finance, or a related field
• Proficient in using Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat

Responsibilities

• Track development approval timelines & coordinate with internal and external parties to ensure all due diligence is complete and received in a timely manner
• Coordinate financing applications, including LIHTC, RAD, HOME Funds, CDBG Funds, AHP Funds, and other funding sources as needed
• Ensure assumptions and precise documentation of any zoning, LIHTC application commitments, and financing applications
