Summary

Join Arc'teryx's dynamic ERP and Business Systems team as an Application Engineer, SAP. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing SAP solutions, collaborating with stakeholders and internal teams. This position involves leveraging cutting-edge SAP technologies like SAP BTP, S/4HANA, and SAP Fiori to create efficient and scalable solutions. You will spearhead application development, translate functional requirements into technical designs, and resolve complex technical challenges. The ideal candidate possesses a relevant degree, five years of experience in SAP Development and Integration, and expertise in cloud-based development. Location is North Vancouver, BC, or remote (North American time zones).

Requirements

  • Have a relevant university degree or technical diploma and at least five years of related experience in SAP Development and Integration, with a strong focus on SAP S/4HANA, SAP PI/PO, and SAP BTP
  • Have expertise in cloud-based development and familiarity with the breadth of SAP BTP offerings
  • Be proficient in the ABAP RAP and Cloud Application Programming (CAP) models for building efficient, scalable, and maintainable applications and services
  • Have knowledge of RESTful APIs, OData Services, HTTP/HTTPS protocols, and data modeling with CDS views
  • Have experience in testing methodologies and tools for integration scenarios, including unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing
  • Have a solid understanding of the SAP landscape, modules, terminology, and methodologies
  • Have excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and convey complex technical information
  • Have a proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to identify root causes, develop solutions, and adapt to changing priorities and ambiguous situations
  • Have a passion for continuous improvement and a commitment to embracing agile methodologies

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the development, maintenance, and optimization of applications and services leveraging the RAP and CAP models in SAP BTP
  • Translate functional requirements into robust technical designs for efficient and scalable solutions
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless implementation and integration of your creations within the SAP landscape
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical challenges with a keen eye for detail
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to empower your team and stakeholders to utilize RAP and CAP effectively
  • Develop and enhance ABAP programs, objects, gateway services, and interfaces within the S/4HANA environment
  • Utilize ABAP Workbench, Web IDE, and HANA Studio/Eclipse to build custom and extend standard Fiori apps (SAPUI5) and their backend OData services
  • Leverage cutting-edge S/4HANA technologies to create and extend CDS views and AMDPs
  • Ensure compliance with security standards, including OAuth 2.0 and SAML
  • Migrate SAP PI/PO to BTP Integration Suite with an API-first mindset
  • Enhance existing SAP processes with new features and functionality e.g., Low-Code/No-Code Options
  • Design and build ABAP programs, enhancements, ABAP objects, gateway services, and interfaces in SAP and testing
  • Lead large, highly visible, impactful projects enabling the company to innovate, grow, and evolve
