Requirements

  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD methodologies
  • Proficiency in at least one CI/CD tool, preferably GitLab CI or Concourse
  • Strong understanding of the AWS stack and its associated services
  • Experience automating container deployments with Helm, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with Istio, Kibana, Grafana, Prometheus, Java, and/or NodeJS is a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters
  • Optimise and scale Kubernetes infrastructure
  • Implement best practices for Kubernetes security and performance
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to automate and streamline the deployment, monitoring, and management processes
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, with a preference for GitLab CI or Concourse
  • Ensure reliable and efficient code deployment processes
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of AWS services and effectively leverage them in the DevOps processes
  • Automate container deployments using Helm, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Enforce best practices for containerisation, including security and resource optimisation
  • Familiarity with Istio for service mesh configuration and management
  • Implement and manage monitoring and observability solutions using Kibana, Grafana, and Prometheus
  • Ensure high availability of systems and applications
  • Proactively manage system capacity, performance, and scaling
