DevOps Engineer

Summary

This position is for a DevOps Engineer at Concept3D who will implement Continuous Delivery, manage Linux-based systems, work with cloud platforms, and participate in agile planning. The role offers opportunities for learning, professional growth, and collaboration. The team operates remotely with a nationally distributed team.

Requirements

• Knowledge of industry best practices for DevOps in a cloud computing environment
• Organized, methodical, and consistent
• Desire to work on rich, interactive web applications in the cloud
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure)
• Experience working with Docker based container deployments
• Experience with monitoring and alerting
• Experience with agile software development and working as part of a collaborative agile team
• Motivated to automate manual tasks
• Worked in an environment that follows CI/CD practices
• Experience learning and using a variety of open-source technologies and tools
• Strong attention to detail and can maintain consistency between development and production environments
• Knowledge of SOC 2 or other security frameworks and experience with vulnerability scanning and/or application security testing

Responsibilities

• Implement Continuous Delivery and execute automated or manual deployments for development, test, and production environments
• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Ubuntu Linux based systems
• Manage manual and automated changes through Development, QA, and Production environments
• Work closely with software engineering teams to define infrastructure and deployment requirements
• Actively participate in agile planning and release processes
• Employ continuous learning to grow professional and domain expertise
• Be available to support occasional deployments during after-hours maintenance windows
• Provide occasional on-call support to quickly address and resolve critical production issues outside of regular business hours

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CI/CD, Jenkins
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools (CloudFormation / Terraform)
