This role requires 4+ years of AWS experience, 3+ years with Kubernetes and Python, 2+ years with relational databases, and experience with Terraform and Helm. Fluency in automation, comfort with application code, effective communication, and remote team experience are also essential. Requirements

Responsibilities

- System ArchitectureEvolve the underlying infrastructure architecture that supports our core insurance platforms and services. Partner with engineering teams to ensure scalability, fault tolerance, and cost efficiency, while making thoughtful trade-offs to meet business and technical goals
- Infrastructure OrchestrationBuild, manage, and optimize infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Kubernetes, and AWS services. Automate provisioning, scaling, and deployment processes to ensure our environments are consistent, reproducible, and able to support rapid feature delivery
- Production Readiness (Logging, Observability, CI/CD)Develop and maintain comprehensive observability solutions—including logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting—to detect and resolve issues before they impact customers. Own and improve CI/CD pipelines, ensuring quick, reliable, and secure delivery to production
- Solution Ideation and DesignCollaborate with engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to design infrastructure solutions that meet evolving needs. Contribute ideas, evaluate trade-offs, and experiment with new technologies to enable faster, safer, and more resilient delivery of features
- Platform SecurityImplement and maintain best practices for infrastructure security, including identity and access management, network segmentation, vulnerability scanning, and compliance monitoring. Partner with the security team to proactively address threats and maintain customer trust
