DevOps Engineer

Summary

Join Degreed as a DevOps Engineer to lead the migration from AWS to Azure using container-based technology. You will design, build, and maintain scalable and secure infrastructure, collaborating with development teams to optimize deployment and automation. Responsibilities include containerizing applications and services, migrating infrastructure to code, designing and maintaining scalable networks, and developing tools to empower developers. You will also work with stakeholders, implement DevOps best practices, and support logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions. The position requires 3+ years of experience supporting high-scale web applications and deploying cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred). A strong background in DevOps automation, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native architectures is essential.

Requirements

• 3+ years supporting high-scale, web-based applications in production
• 3+ years of deploying, managing, and scaling cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred)
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments
• Strong background in DevOps automation, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native architectures
• Experience navigating and remediating security issues
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles, Agile methodologies, and automation
• Experience with containers and Kubernetes orchestration
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS or GCP acceptable)
• Ability to deploy, manage, and scale cloud platform resources
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform, Helm charts)
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
• Understanding of networking, security, and system monitoring

• Support logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions to ensure system reliability

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Azure SQL, SQL Server, and .NET/C# (preferred)
• Prior work in a SaaS or startup environment is a plus
