Summary

Join Heartflow, a medical technology company revolutionizing precision heartcare, as a DevOps engineer. You will be a technical leader working with our engineering team to develop cloud-based algorithmic pipelines and machine learning tooling using C++, Python, and AWS. Responsibilities include creating and managing AWS infrastructure, ensuring system performance and security, and improving our deployment processes. You will contribute to a collaborative team environment and participate in on-call rotations. This role requires proficiency in AWS tooling, Linux, Python, Git, SQL, and Terraform, along with excellent communication skills. Requirements

  • Proficient in AWS Tooling, such as EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, and Networking services
  • Knowledgeable about best practices in AWS, Chef, Docker, and Jenkins
  • Strong Linux skills
  • Working understanding of Python, Git, SQL, and Terraform
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • BS in computer science or technical field preferred
  • 2+ years relevant work experience

Responsibilities

  • Create infrastructure in AWS that supports our globally deployed applications
  • Build robust cloud management services for monitoring, logging, security scanning, and alerting
  • Monitor system performance, application health, and infrastructure metrics
  • Implement proactive measures to optimize performance and availability
  • Continuously improve (simplify, automate, document) our deployment process
  • Apply security best practices at the cloud, operating system, and application level
  • Follow HIPAA compliance guidelines and policies
  • Contribute to a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team
  • Participate in on-call rotation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with logging and monitoring tooling, such as CloudWatch and/or Datadog
  • Understanding of AWS Serverless Technologies like Step Functions, Lambda and Fargate
  • Knowledgeable about Artifact management using Artifactory

Benefits

A reasonable estimate of the yearly base compensation range is $110,000 to $150,000 , cash bonus, and stock options
