Summary

Join IP Fabric, a network automation leader, and contribute to a rapidly expanding team. As a DevOps team member, you will collaborate with other teams to enhance CI/CD, Debian package management, and other critical areas. You will build, maintain, and troubleshoot infrastructure and services, conduct PoCs on new technologies, and ensure the safety and security of the infrastructure. The role involves working with software engineers, participating in code reviews, and assisting with customer support. Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge of Python programming
  • Advanced knowledge of GNU/Linux environments
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills in complex infrastructure issues
  • Advanced bash scripting and mid-to-high-level programming/scripting experience in Python, Ruby, Go, C or other languages
  • Experience with DSL configuration management systems - Puppet, Salt, Chef, and more
  • Proficiency with Git or other version management systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and ability to explain and sell your ideas
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication in English
  • Valid VISA to work in the EU

Responsibilities

  • Helping to build, maintain, and troubleshoot infrastructure and services running on Linux, various network emulators and appliances, CI/CD pipelines on bare-metal and in public/private clouds
  • PoC-ing new technologies and solutions, documenting and transferring the knowledge
  • Providing smooth operation by creating tools, automating, integrating, and ensuring proper monitoring of all components
  • Ensuring the safety and security of the infrastructure and services
  • Working with software engineers to make sure that development follows established processes and works as intended
  • Participating in team code reviews
  • Assisting with customer support for system parts of the platform

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of NGINX
  • Basic experience with public cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Knowledge of administration of virtualization platforms like VMware, Hyper-V, and OpenStack
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools and container orchestration tools - Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Nomad
  • Dynamic network routing - OSPF, BGP
