DevOps Engineer

Summary

Join Pango Group's dynamic engineering team as an experienced DevOps Engineer. You will manage, improve, and scale our cloud infrastructure on AWS, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with development and operations teams. This role requires extensive experience with AWS services, automation tools like Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines. Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, with at least 3 years working specifically with AWS services
• Solid knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, ECS, DynamoDB, EKS, CloudWatch, Redis, Kafka, ElasticSearch, etc.)
• Expert level on Terraform
• Strong experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Github, AWS CodePipeline, etc.).  Expert level of Gihub Actions is a must
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Python, Bash, or Ruby
• Solid knowledge with monitoring and alerting tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, VictoriaMetrics or similar
• Experience with Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket
• Solid knowledge with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized applications (ECS, EKS, or self-hosted Kubernetes)
• Strong understanding of cloud security principles, IAM roles, VPC, and encryption strategies
• Ability to work effectively with development teams, system administrators, and other stakeholders
• Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain AWS infrastructure using services like EC2, S3, ECS, RDS, Lambda, DynamoDB, and others
• Implement and manage continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Github Actions, AWS CodePipeline, or CircleCI
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployments using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Ansible
• Monitor cloud infrastructure and applications to ensure high availability, performance, and cost optimization. Use tools such as AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Datadog.  Recommends any other tooling/automation necessary for production logging and observability
• Work closely with developers and operations teams to ensure smooth release cycles and infrastructure scaling
• Implement security best practices for managing AWS resources, including IAM, VPC, and encryption. Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements
• Respond to system outages or issues, providing troubleshooting and support for incident resolution
• Maintain clear and concise documentation on infrastructure, processes, and procedures for internal use

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
• Familiarity with other cloud platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud
• Experience working in Agile environments and using tools like Jira or Trello
• Experience working with both SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB, MongoDB) databases
