DevOps Engineer

Summary

Join Platform Science as a DevOps/SRE Engineer in Leuven, Belgium, working in a hybrid/remote capacity. This role involves setting up new environments and cloud services, ensuring smooth collaboration between development and operations teams, and performing Site Reliability Engineering activities. You will be a key player in improving developer experience and maintaining system stability. The ideal candidate possesses 5+ years of IT experience, including DevOps and cloud technologies, and strong communication and documentation skills. Requirements

• 5 years of experience in IT, preferably DevOps and Cloud
• Linux, Kubernetes (or similar tech), general IT like DNS/Networking
• Bachelor’s in applicable field

Responsibilities

• Set up new environments, Cloud services or infrastructure needed for the ever-growing set of services we provide to our customers - building out an internal platform
• Keep Dev and Ops working together well and improve the DevEx (Developer Experience)
• Perform Site Reliability Engineering activities to make sure the lights stay on and we keep improving our SLOs. Being On-Call is part of this

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with IaC tooling like Terraform, Ansible, GitOps
• Good communication skills
• Stress-handling during incidents
• Good documentation skills and internal selling of the platform
