DevOps Engineer

Summary

Solvative is seeking a DevOps Engineer with 1+ years of experience to oversee code releases, improve development processes, and ensure system security. The role involves working with developers and IT staff, understanding stakeholder needs, and requires knowledge of various automation tools, databases, Docker, infrastructure as code, monitoring tools, web servers, firewalls, SSL, CI/CD pipeline, AWS cloud platforms, and Linux systems.

Requirements

• Entry level work experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role
• Good knowledge of Python or Bash scripting
• Working knowledge of databases and SQL
• Should have knowledge of Docker
• Basic understanding of infrastructure as code and configuration management tool like Ansible and Terraform
• Understanding of monitoring and observability tools
• Basic understanding of web servers, firewalls, SSL and web security
• Understanding of CI/CD pipeline
• Should be familiar with AWS cloud platforms. Certification would be a plus point
• Should be well versed in Linux systems

Responsibilities

• Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
• Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure
• Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and ‘fixes’
• Planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions
• Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
• Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
