Summary

Sonalake is seeking a DevOps engineer with cloud experience and a DevOps mindset to enhance their capabilities in building cloud native software. The role involves building AWS infrastructure with Terraform, providing guidelines for CI/CD pipelines and observability stack, working closely with engineering teams, and sharing knowledge about DevOps best practices. Requirements include 3+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer, experience in an agile environment, operational experience with AWS (and preferably GCP and Azure), experience managing multi-region, multi-cloud large scale infrastructure, knowledge of Terraform, observability stack tools, cloud-native applications and orchestration tools, Linux fundamentals, CI/CD tools and pipelines, technical mentoring and knowledge sharing, and excellent English communication skills. Requirements

  • Have 3+ years of experience as DevOps engineer
  • Have experience of working in an agile environment
  • Have demonstrable operational experience with AWS (additional GCP, Azure experience is welcomed)
  • Are experienced in managing multi-region, multi-cloud large scale infrastructure
  • Know how to work with Terraform (Infrastructure as a code)
  • Have experience in setting up observability stack. E.g. OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Tempo, Loki, Prometheus, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana
  • Have hands on experience in tools used for cloud-native applications and orchestration (e.g.Kubernetes, ECS, Docker)
  • Posses deep understanding of Linux fundamentals and internals like filesystems, security, networking etc
  • Have experience in technical mentoring and knowledge sharing
  • Are a great communicator in English - both written and spoken

Responsibilities

  • Build AWS infrastructure with Terraform
  • Provide guidelines for CI/CD pipelines and observability stack
  • Work closely with engineering organization including software development teams
  • Share knowledge about DevOps best practices across Sonalake
  • Actively participate in suggesting architecture improvements, recommending process improvements and conducting tool evaluation
