Summary
Join Sonalake, a software partnering company, and contribute to building cloud-native software. As a DevOps engineer, you will build AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform, establish CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with software development teams. You'll share DevOps best practices, suggest architecture improvements, and evaluate tools. This role requires 3+ years of DevOps experience, AWS expertise, and familiarity with various tools and technologies. Sonalake offers a remote-first approach, training budgets, a flat organizational structure, and indefinite employment contracts.
Requirements
- Have 3+ years of experience as DevOps engineer
- Have experience of working in an agile environment
- Have demonstrable operational experience with AWS (additional GCP, Azure experience is welcomed)
- Are experienced in managing multi-region, multi-cloud large scale infrastructure
- Know how to work with Terraform (Infrastructure as a code)
- Have experience in setting up observability stack. E.g. OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Tempo, Loki, Prometheus, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana
- Have hands on experience in tools used for cloud-native applications and orchestration (e.g.Kubernetes, ECS, Docker)
- Posses deep understanding of Linux fundamentals and internals like filesystems, security, networking etc
- Are experienced with CI/CD tools and pipelines tools such as Jenkins, GitLab
- Have experience in technical mentoring and knowledge sharing
- Are a great communicator in English - both written and spoken
Responsibilities
- Build AWS cloud infrastructure with Terraform
- Provide guidelines for CI/CD pipelines and observability stack
- Work closely with engineering organization including software development teams
- Share knowledge about DevOps best practices across Sonalake
- Actively participate in suggesting architecture improvements, recommending process improvements and conducting tool evaluation

- AWS certification
- Azure experience
