Summary

Join The Codest, an international software development company, as a DevOps Engineer and contribute to the development of cutting-edge IT products for a leading financial services organization in Limassol, Cyprus. You will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform, ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of the company's cloud-based applications and services. This is a fully remote position with opportunities for professional development and a unique chance to make a tangible impact.

Requirements

  • At least 4+ years of experience in a DevOps position
  • Solid hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly using Terraform
  • Practical knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and a strong understanding of automation practices
  • Good grasp of cloud architecture principles, including best practices for building highly available, scalable, and elastic solutions
  • Proficiency with core AWS services, such as IAM, Lambda, S3, and others
  • Scripting ability in Python or a similar language for automation and tooling purposes

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement strategic AWS cloud solutions aligned with company goals and best practices
  • Guide and coach platform engineers, offering support and technical direction as needed
  • Review infrastructure designs and Git pull requests to ensure code quality and alignment with standards
  • Translate the broader objectives of the platform engineering team into actionable tasks for your team and support their successful delivery
  • Plan and execute team goals and project deliveries in coordination with your manager
  • Work closely with developers and enterprise architects to create cloud-based solutions for both existing and new applications
  • Manage and maintain secure and compliant network and security configurations to protect critical financial data

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's/Associates degree in computer engineering or computer science
  • Any of the following certificates: AWS Solution Architect - Associate, AWS Solution Architect - Professional, AWS Security or Networking Expert or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Associate
