Summary

Skydropx is hiring a technical team member to develop features and improve services and products within a dynamic, ambitious, and multicultural work environment. The candidate must have at least 4 years of experience with GCP, Kubernetes, and related tools, as well as scripting skills in bash and python. Responsibilities include developing and deploying infrastructure as code, resolving technical issues, and mentoring team members.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience working with GCP (GKE, CloudRun, CloudSQL, Memorystore, Pub/Sub, VPN, Compute Engine, IAM, etc.)
• Experience as a mid or senior level Kubernetes engineer
• Experience working with environment variables in container instances and related tools (Docker and Kubernetes)
• Experience working with Kafka or Pub/Sub
• Develop and deploy infrastructure as code, preferably using independent cloud tools
• Scripting skills in bash and python
• Solid understanding and practical experience in software engineering, including full software development lifecycle practices
• Experience with operating systems, file systems on Linux, proxies, web servers
• Practical experience in distributing large-scale systems and client-server architectures of high quality
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical peers

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve services and products safely and effectively, according to company guidelines
• Write technical documentation
• Solve high-impact and complex technical problems
• Ensure best practices for large-scale services and products, using the company's coding style and necessary maintainability
• Solve performance and optimization issues, particularly at large scale, and demonstrate the ability to diagnose and prevent them
• Advise and guide team members to help them develop their technical skills, removing obstacles to their autonomy and agility
• Add value to the team and communicate effectively your ideas to your team leader
• Be available to resolve critical issues as needed
