Join Solace, a healthcare advocacy marketplace, as their exceptional Director of Behavioral Health. You will build and lead a new behavioral health service line, developing Solace's behavioral health strategy and bringing this critical clinical service to life. Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, this role blends clinical expertise, strategic thinking, and operational leadership. You will lead the development of Solace's behavioral health service, creating a comprehensive strategy that integrates with primary advocate services. You will also create business cases, write clinical protocols, design staffing models, and develop clinical quality frameworks. This role requires maintaining direct clinical work and analyzing data to meet KPIs. The position is remote and based in the United States.
Requirements
- Active LCSW license with willingness to obtain additional state licenses as needed
- Must have clean licensure history to ensure swift credentialing across multiple states
- Minimum 5 years of active clinical practice combined with at least 3 years of experience leading clinical services, with demonstrated success in team management and service delivery
- Ability to build from scratch, manage multiple priorities, and adapt quickly to evolving organizational needs
- Genuine passion for improving behavioral health access and outcomes, with excitement about leveraging technology to transform how mental health services are delivered

Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end development of Solace's behavioral health service, creating a comprehensive strategy that seamlessly integrates with our primary advocate services to better serve patients with mental health needs
- Create compelling business cases for behavioral health services, establishing the clinical and financial rationale for this expansion while identifying key success metrics and growth opportunities
- Write evidence-based clinical protocols and operational workflows that ensure high-quality, consistent care delivery while meeting regulatory requirements and industry best practices
- Design staffing models, forecast patient volumes, and build a world-class team of behavioral health clinicians while establishing sustainable operational processes for growth
- Develop and implement clinical quality frameworks, monitor care outcomes, and provide clinical supervision to maintain the highest standards of patient care and regulatory compliance
- Own service performance post-launch, analyzing data to meet KPIs, identify improvement opportunities, and continuously enhance the patient experience
- Maintain direct clinical work to ensure deep understanding of service delivery and patient needs, informing strategic decisions with real-world insights
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong preference for candidates with MBA or equivalent business experience, particularly those with consulting, healthcare administration, or service line development backgrounds
- Prior experience developing new clinical service lines strongly preferred, with understanding of regulatory requirements, operational scaling, and quality assurance frameworks
