Join Smartsheet as the Director, Global Benefits, a strategic leadership role where you will design, implement, and manage global benefits and leave programs. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 12+ years of progressive experience in benefits and leave management, with significant global experience
- 8+ years of experience in managing and leading teams, including global teams
- Proven ability to develop and implement global benefits strategies
- Strong knowledge of global benefits regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills
- Proficiency with HRIS systems, such as Workday, and Microsoft Excel and Google Suite
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible, adaptable, and a collaborative leader in a global environment
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the global benefits and leave function, ensuring alignment with the companyβs overall business objectives and talent strategy
- Lead and manage a global team of benefits and leave professionals, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring effective execution of projects and programs
- Oversee the management of broker and vendor relationships globally, ensuring optimal service delivery, cost-effectiveness, and performance
- Develop and implement global benefits and leave policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations
- Direct the global annual renewal process, including the evaluation of proposed changes, budget negotiations, and smooth implementation of new plans
- Conduct global benchmarking and market analysis to ensure the competitiveness and attractiveness of the company's benefits package
- Lead change management efforts for global benefits transitions and new program rollouts, ensuring effective communication and adoption
- Ensure benefits-related systems, including Workday, are effectively supporting global administration
- Collaborate with global stakeholders, including Finance, Procurement, Legal, HR, and senior leadership, to evaluate, refine, and integrate benefits programs
- Manage the global benefits budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and financial sustainability
