Summary

Join Cedar as Director, Commercial Strategy (Sales Engineering) to support commercial teams in sales, implementation, and upselling. Educate and engage clients on revenue cycle optimization, patient experience, and financial ROI. Collaborate with internal and external partners to understand client needs and drive business growth. The ideal candidate possesses strong client-facing experience, technical expertise, and process management skills. This role requires independent operation in a fast-paced environment and involves up to 10% domestic travel. Requirements

  • Experience building relationships and credibility with healthcare executives
  • 8+ years of work experience
  • Excellent listening and communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to translate data and insights into compelling, executive-facing narratives
  • Creative and resilient problem-solver; able to proactively anticipate and mitigate risks independently
  • An analytical attitude, extremely strong attention to detail, and passion for problem solving
  • Demonstrates a self-starter mentality and ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Excellence with Excel and Powerpoint (or Google Sheets and Slides)

Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally to drive deals to close by delivering effective pitch content to prospect audiences, problem solving for deal challenges including but not limited to custom contractual/product obligations, non-standard integration requirements, etc
  • Establish the processes for scaling commercialization of Cedar with product, marketing, commercial, and delivery teams. This includes but is not limited to positioning, messaging, material development, and ownership of strategic relationships with vendors
  • Develop subject matter expertise of Cedarโ€™s core value proposition, product offerings, integrations and delivery approach and competitive landscape
  • Exemplify Cedarโ€™s values of focusing on our vision, using good judgment, applying a growth mindset, and rejecting mediocrity
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the time

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in client services or sales a plus (e.g., management consulting, investment banking); some technical and healthcare experience preferred

  • Salary Range* in CA, NY, NJ, CT, WA : $140,250 - $165,000
  • Salary* NOT in CA, NY, NJ, CT, WA: $126,200 - $148,500
