Summary

Join Affirm's International Communications team as a self-starter and leader, building and leading the company's international communications function. You will be responsible for crafting Affirm's narrative in the UK, driving brand awareness, and working with global, regional, and local press. This role involves developing communications strategies, managing media relations, and collaborating with internal teams. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in corporate communications, a proven track record of securing media coverage, and excellent communication skills. Requirements

  • 10 years of experience working in corporate communications and/or media relations for a global brand, with expertise in managing international markets, preferably for a high-profile public company in the technology space – either in house or on agency side
  • Proven record of pitching and securing strategic media coverage and managing nuanced issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience managing agencies, and putting in place scalable processes
  • Experience doing scenario planning and crisis communications
  • Ability to translate marketing objectives into communications strategies and plans

Responsibilities

  • Lead our International Communications function
  • Engage directly with executives on major announcements and thought leadership initiatives
  • Build our international presence leveraging strategic communications
  • Own Affirm’s storytelling efforts in international markets working with global, regional and local press
  • Work closely with Affirm’s Revenue team to support and amplify key business achievements and events - including speaking engagements
  • Develop communications strategy and processes, from organizing speaking opportunities, to proactively securing strategic media coverage as well as crisis and issues management
  • Cultivate and maintain deep relationships with business press, consumer media, key industry opinion leaders and external stakeholders
