Requirements
- Minimum of 7 yearsβ experience in contract management, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry or a combination of CRO and pharma settings
- Demonstrated expertise in managing vendor contracts, site budgets, and Change Orders
- Proficient in financial planning and budget tracking, with a collaborative approach to working with Finance teams
- Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to align contracts with business goals and legal standards
- Familiarity with Grant Plan and FMV guidelines for Investigator grants
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders effectively
- Detail-oriented and results-driven, with a commitment to timely project delivery
- Local presence in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors, managing the process from RFP issuance to final contract execution
- Lead the development and negotiation of Scopes of Work (SoW), collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with study requirements and budgets
- Partner with Finance to manage overall study budgets, track Change Orders, and update budgets as needed
- Negotiate contract terms, amendments, and discounts with vendors, ensuring compliance with Master Service Agreements (MSA)
- Review and refine template Investigator budgets, supporting alignment with study needs and fair market value (FMV)
- Coordinate bid defense meetings and vendor capability presentations to support vendor selection
- Manage and nurture relationships with vendor business development representatives to foster strong partnerships
- Ensure timely closure of invoicing and contracts, maintaining accuracy in financial and contractual records
