Summary

Join Bounteous as the Director of Data Strategy, where you will spearhead the development of digital marketing data ecosystems and design robust data warehousing and reporting solutions. You will lead cross-functional data teams, overseeing onshore and offshore data engineers and BI developers. This role involves partnering with account leadership and collaborating with Product, Technology, and Marketing practices. Reporting to the VP of Advanced Analytics, you will support the development of a Customer Data Warehousing & Reporting service offering, contributing to larger accounts and developing team skill sets. You will also participate in pitches, estimates, and Statements of Work (SOWs). This leadership role requires promoting information security best practices and ensuring data protection compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Leads cross-functional engagements, and ensures cohesive delivery across competencies
  • Conducts data strategy programming, including assessing data signals, KPI setting, ecosystem and readiness assessments, co-innovation studio sessions, roadmapping deliverables, and value creation cycles
  • Assesses client data maturity, understands stakeholder needs, facilitates prioritization, and coordinates a strategic data and agile roadmap of program activities
  • Design Marketing Data Warehouses, ingesting data from web analytics, CRM, and media platforms, using appropriate cloud infrastructure for automation, and oversee technical team in execution
  • Design Reporting Suites for marketing data stakeholders, collecting requirements, creating functional wireframes, and tracking change requests, using interactive techniques to collaborate with clients
  • Provides perspectives on necessary data advancement recommendations, including business intelligence and statistical analysis, machine learning and AI, or other data activities to support business outcomes
  • Uses the results of analysis to communicate program success and persuade account and client stakeholders for expansion and investment, including opportunities for accelerator engagements
  • Promote and enforce awareness of key information security practices, including acceptable use of information assets, malware protection, and password security protocols
  • Identify, assess, and report security risks, focusing on how these risks impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets
  • Understand and evaluate how data is stored, processed, or transmitted, ensuring compliance with data privacy and protection standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
  • Ensure data protection measures are integrated throughout the information lifecycle to safeguard sensitive information

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years of relevant work experience in digital, consulting, or analytics
  • Breadth of experience across cloud technologies (Snowflake, GCP, AWS, Azure) and ability to speak to their capabilities as they relate to customer, digital, and operational data and digital analytics
  • Functional expertise with data warehousing in Snowflake and Google Cloud Platform
  • Functional expertise with BI platforms like Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio
  • Experience incorporating digital marketing data (CRM, Paid Media, Social, etc) into solution design, using various methods of extraction
  • Knowledge and familiarity with digital analytics platforms (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics) is preferred
  • Industry knowledge of the advanced analytics landscape
  • Understanding of data governance, compliance, and privacy issues
  • Maintain subject matter expertise as platforms evolve, including leading development of playbooks and documentation for scaling solutions
  • Collaborate with internal marketing team on strategic collateral, collaborative case studies, or other marketing materials
  • Work with CSEs and BD to support pitches for new business or additional follow-on work for clients
  • Maintain billable utilization while uncovering additional project opportunities
