Director, DevOps Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop the DevOps team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and career growth
• Oversee the management of application deployments using Helm charts and the Kubernetes ecosystem, optimizing for reliability and scalability
• Architect and optimize infrastructure on Azure and AWS utilizing Terraform, Ansible, and other relevant tools
• Implement and manage FinOps strategies to ensure cost-efficient cloud operations
• Ensure adherence to HIPAA, PCI, and other compliance frameworks, embedding security best practices across all operations
• Track the health, performance, and availability of infrastructure using advanced observability and monitoring tools like Datadog
• Utilize DX to monitor and report on DORA/SPACE metrics, providing insights into the performance and efficiency of the DevOps practices
• Troubleshoot, evaluate, and resolve operational challenges, ensuring defined service level objectives are met
• Develop and maintain supporting infrastructure and tooling to meet the needs of PracticeTek development teams
• Lead the on-call rotation, ensuring the team is equipped to handle operational incidents effectively
• Partner with the CTO and Engineering Directors on strategic direction and implementation of new technologies and processes
• Manage complex projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Compliance/Security teams to feed operational insights back into the product development lifecycle
