Director Finance Systems

Summary

Join GoDaddy as the Director of Finance Systems and oversee the company's financial systems, ensuring efficiency and accuracy. Requirements

• 12+ years of proven experience in managing and implementing enterprise systems e.g. Adaptive Planning, Workday Financials, RPA, and AI tools
• Strong understanding of financial processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with diverse teams and stakeholders
• Knowledge of compliance requirements and best practices in financial systems and data security

Responsibilities

• Oversee the architecture, management, and optimization of financial systems, including Workday Financials, Adaptive Planning, RPA UiPath, Vertex, FIS/Quantum, and related platforms
• Develop and implement a multi-year roadmap to enhance financial systems and processes in alignment with company objectives
• Partner with IT and finance teams to ensure the scalability and reliability of financial systems as the company grows
• Lead initiatives to improve finance, accounting, and tax processes through automation and advanced technologies, including AI and machine learning capabilities
• Evaluate existing systems and recommend/implement integrations, enhancements, and new tools to drive efficiency and effectiveness
• Ensure systems are optimized for financial reporting, analytics, compliance, and operational workflows
• Act as the primary liaison between Accounting/Finance and Technology (eCommerce Platform and Data teams) to integrate and align on system priorities and projects
• Collaborate with business functions to ensure all teams have access to accurate and timely financial data for decision-making
• Partner with external vendors and consultants for system implementations and upgrades as necessary
• Own day-to-day administration, troubleshooting, and support of financial systems, ensuring an excellent end-user experience
• Champion data governance practices to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of financial data across all tools
• Build and mentor to support and lead financial systems effectively
• Train staff on standard processes for demonstrating system capabilities and analytics tools
• Drive and champion the adoption of AI-powered financial tools and processes to enhance reporting, analytics, and forecasting
• Stay ahead of industry trends, continuously evaluating new technologies and methodologies to improve financial system capabilities
• Ensure financial systems are aligned with applicable regulations and support accurate and timely financial reporting
• Drive continuous improvement in the close process and consolidation tools to enhance the financial reporting cycle

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in information technology , or a related field; Master's degree preferred
