Requirements
- Provide leadership to managers; may also provide leadership to supervisors and/or professional staff. Establish operational objectives and work plans and delegate assignments to subordinates. Senior management reviews objectives to determine success of operation. Involved in developing, modifying and executing company policies that affect immediate operations and may also have company-wide effect
- Work on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives. Implement strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Establish and assure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements
- Manage activities of two or more sections or departments. Exercise supervision in terms of costs, methods, and staffing. In some instances this manager may have subordinate supervisors
- Typically 8+ years with bachelor's or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Prepare and evaluate the annual budget, monthly forecasts and reviewing monthly profit and loss statements for assigned business segments
- Evaluate business segment financial performance and forecast estimates, understand key drivers impacting trends
- Ensure integrity and completeness of financial reporting and forecast estimates
- Report projections and variances in a concise, transparent executive-level presentation with commentary. Recommend solutions or projections and quantifying risks and opportunities
- Supervise others to include hiring, training, assigning and directing work, establishing goals, evaluating performance and resolving employee-related issues
- Understand executive managementβs information needs and design deliverables and processes to fulfill them
- Ensure compliance with internal policies
- Maintain strong financial controls and drive continual process improvement
- Act as technical expert on complex financial modeling issues
- Work on special projects
- Other duties as assigned
